When I have spoken to other council/assemblies in the past, they all think that they must sell products in the store to make a profit and don't get me wrong you can make a profit in the store, but the easiest way to make your site pay for itself is to sell a few ads to some of your members that own local businesses. I have found that most of the members of my council didn't know what the other members did for a living. Being a member, I would like to do business with people that have the same mission in life as I do.
We've included a page for advertisers with all their contact information and a link to their web site. This page can have as many ad as you wish, and you can offer these ads at whatever price you wish. All your advitiser has to do is supply us with their ad or logo and contact info via email.
Example:
Sell 10 2inch X 3inch ads @ $75.00 = $750.00
Sell 3 Banner ads @ $100.00 = $300.00
Your site is now in the black not counting anything sold from your store. And you know as well as we do that you have at least 40% of your members own a business. This is a very inexpensive way for you brother knights to promote themselfs to fellow members. Also It will be a tax write off for advertising plus they help out their council. What a great networking tool and may grow you council/assembly too.
Just think of the savings your council/assembly will have without laying out a bulletin, printing and postage cost. We want you to get the word out and not pay anything to do it. Plus we do all the work to keep your site and members upto date. We can't make it any easier or less expensive than that. Well I guess we could pay you to build a profesional web site. But don't count on it.
